Gifts – All I want for Christmas

who-i-was-before

This year has transformed me in more ways than one.

I began to give lesser f****s than i had in the past and I can safely say that i am not the same person i started out as.

Overall this has been a successful year…i have pushed whatever limits i thought i had, taken risks that had never taken in the past, taken decisions which could potentially done me more harm than good, got together with friends – bonded them at levels that i could never think of.

When #blogchatter asked me to put down a list of gifts that i want for myself in the new year i can only as for the following things:

Hope: That i never lose hope in the new year that there is something good in store for my son and me

Unquenched Thirst for Life: That both of us go into the new year aiming to quench our thirst for life. And in this thirst for life we are equipped to travel to new places, explore new lands together

Love: Unconditional love. That could be out there somewhere and we both continue to find it and give it to those who deserve.

Patience: The ability to hold on to my horses and not take rushed or rash decisions for myself and my son.

I need these presents gift wrapped with ribbons of assurance that God will be with us through 2017 as he has been with us through all these years.

  1. When I typed by year round up post that’s exactly how I felt – that I am a different person now as I end the year from how I started off . And I see so many people echoing that thought. I think we are embracing ‘what we really really seek’ as a generation. People who were running too fast – are slowing down. People who were taking it easy are taking a leap.
I like your list .. and if this is what you seek from Christmas , this is what will come to you 🙂 [ not predicting .. just wishing 🙂 ]

These are bearable thoughtful gifts that we all need to gift ourselves. Each year we learn new lessons, laugh, cry and evolve as a new person… probably a better version of ourselves. I wish you a great and a fulfilling year ahead .
